2025 Pro-D Day Camps

A full-day program (9:00 AM - 3:00 PM) designed for school Pro-D Days. Kids will immerse themselves in Mandarin while participating in engaging hands-on activities and field trips, such as shopping for ingredients at a Chinese grocery store and cooking their own congee.

全天营（上午9点至下午3点），专为学校 Pro-D Day 设计。孩子们将在中文沉浸中参与有趣的动手活动和户外探索，比如去中国超市采购食材并亲自烹饪一碗粥，寓教于乐，收获满满。​

Grocery Adventure
& Little Chef
​一日采买厨艺课

Under the guidance of experienced teachers, children will explore a local Chinese grocery store to learn about selecting fresh ingredients and practical Chinese vocabulary. After the shopping adventure, they’ll head to the kitchen to cook a heartwarming bowl of “Love Porridge.” This is a fun and educational cooking day camp where children practice both Mandarin and life skills!

Highlights:

• Learn about ingredients and Mandarin vocabulary

• Shopping mission: Plan and select fresh produce

• Hands-on cooking experience: Create a delicious porridge

 

孩子们将在专业老师的带领下，探索本地中式超市，学习挑选新鲜食材的技巧与日常中文词汇。随后，在小厨房里，孩子们将亲手制作一碗暖心的“爱心粥”。这是一次充满乐趣和意义的中文烹饪体验，让孩子们在实践中学习中文和生活技能！

In the most beautiful season of spring, children will visit Granville Island to capture the beauty of Vancouver through their eyes. With photography, drawing, and creative art projects, kids will transform their observations into unique keepsakes, such as painted river stones featuring Vancouver’s scenery. This is a special blend of Mandarin learning, artistic expression, and nature exploration!

Highlights:

  • Mandarin practice: Describe and record scenic observations

  • Art project: Paint and decorate river stones

  • City adventure: Experience the beauty of Vancouver's nature and culture​

在春天最美的季节，孩子们将前往Granville Island或North Van的Shipyard，记录他们眼中的温哥华之美。通过摄影、绘画和艺术创作，孩子们将自己的观察转化为独一无二的艺术作品，比如画在鹅卵石上的温哥华风景，并带回家留作纪念。这是一场结合中文学习、艺术创作和自然探索的特别活动!

Rate: ​$110 + GST/Full-Day​

  • You register for both Day Camps.

  • You register as a group of 2 or more students.

  • Note: Only one 5% discount mentioned above can be applied.

PAYMENT​​

  • Full payment of camp fee is required at registration.

CANCELLATION/REFUND/CREDIT

  • Cancellation must be submitted in writing; telephone requests will not be honored.

  • Requests to cancel the camp registration must be received at least one week before the camp starts.

  • A $50 administration fee will be charged for each refund. If refund is recorded as school credit, administration will be waived.

  • School credit is valid for 2 years and can be used for any programs within Vancouver Mandarin School.

  • No refund/credit will be granted for occasional absence once the camp starts.
