This is not a holiday babysitting camp. This is a structured, academically focused Mandarin intensive designed to create visible progress in just one week. Programs include Pinyin intensive, Beginner Talk Intensive and Read in Hanzi Intensive

Build Essential Speaking Skills Fast
Designed for complete beginners, this program focuses on building fundamental listening and speaking skills in Mandarin. Students will learn to introduce themselves, understand common phrases, and hold basic conversations, preparing them to join our MINGLE afterschool program or the upcoming Summer Camp. Through interactive lessons and real-life practice, this is the perfect start for their Mandarin journey.

  • Best For: Children with little to no Mandarin experience.

  • Goal: To confidently speak basic Mandarin and prepare for future programs.

专为零基础学生设计，此课程集中提升学生的中文听说能力。孩子们将学习自我介绍、理解常用短语和进行基础对话，为进入 MINGLE 课后班或即将到来的夏令营做好准备。通过互动式课程和真实场景练习，这是孩子中文学习的完美起点！

Pinyin Intensive

Master the Basics with Confidence
This focused program helps children build a strong foundation in Pinyin—the key to reading and pronouncing Mandarin accurately. Through engaging activities, step-by-step guidance, and practice, students will gain the confidence to recognize and read Pinyin independently, setting them up for future Mandarin learning success.​

  • Best For: Children who are beginners with some foundations or need to improve their Pinyin skills.

  • Goal: To confidently read and pronounce Pinyin by the end of the camp.

Specifically designed for children with basic Mandarin skills, this program focuses on improving reading and writing abilities while deepening their understanding of Chinese culture.

  • Best For: Children who can speak Mandarin but need to strengthen their reading, writing, and cultural understanding.

  • Goal: To build strong literacy skills and gain a deeper appreciation of Chinese culture

专为具备基础中文能力的孩子设计，本课程重点加强认汉字和阅读的能力，在阅读中大量积累汉字与词汇。

  • 适合：能听说中文，但需提升读写能力和文化理解的学生。

Important Notes:​​

  • Small Class Size: 3-6 students per class.

  • School-Initiated Cancellation: If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances, all payments, including the deposit, will be refunded in full.

  • Cancellation must be submitted in writing; telephone requests will not be honored.

  • A $45 administration fee will be charged for each refund. If refund is recorded as school credit, administration will be waived.

  • School credit is valid for 2 years and can be used for any programs within Vancouver Mandarin School.

  • No refund/credit will be granted for occasional absence once the camp starts.
