Week 1-2: July 6-10, July 13-17
Explore Vancouver through Mandarin while learning about city design, transportation systems, directions, and urban life.
Students observe real city facilities and experience different modes of transportation in Vancouver—such as bus, SkyTrain, SeaBus, or walking routes—then use Minecraft to build their own ideal city or a simplified Vancouver model and present.
通过中文探索温哥华的城市结构与城市交通系统，学习方向表达与城市设计概念。孩子们将体验温哥华不同的交通方式，如公交车、天车、SeaBus 或步行路线，并结合真实城市观察，使用 Minecraft 搭建自己的理想城市或简化版温哥华模型，并用中文进行介绍与展示。

Week 3-4: July 20-24, July 27-31
Design a home for an animal friend while learning Mandarin through space, furniture, and functional language.
Students explore room layouts, materials, and design concepts, then create a Mandarin storybook introducing their animal’s home.
通过空间与家具设计学习中文，为小动物设计一个温馨的家。
孩子们将观察房间结构与设计理念，最终创作一本中文故事小书，介绍动物之家的构想。

Discover Vancouver’s food culture while using Mandarin in real-life market settings.
Students practice food vocabulary, buying-and-selling dialogues, and create a Market & Food Guide project.
在真实市场环境中学习与运用中文，探索温哥华的美食文化。

Focused learning of Mandarin basics such as Pinyin, vocabulary, conversational or reading skills. 专注于中文基础学习，包括拼音、词汇、汉字和会话阅读能力提升。
2nd Week 第二周
Project-based exploration where kids apply what they’ve learned through creative storytelling, hands-on activities, and interactive presentations.

Build Essential Speaking Skills Fast
Designed for complete beginners, this program focuses on building fundamental listening and speaking skills in Mandarin. Students will learn to introduce themselves, understand common phrases, and hold basic conversations, preparing them to join our Fall MINGLE afterschool program. Through interactive lessons and real-life practice, this is the perfect start for their Mandarin journey.

Master the Basics with Confidence
This focused program helps children build a strong foundation in Pinyin—the key to reading and pronouncing Mandarin accurately. Through engaging activities, step-by-step guidance, and practice, students will gain the confidence to recognize and read Pinyin independently, setting them up for future Mandarin learning success.

Enhance Mandarin Literacy and Cultural Understanding
Specifically designed for children with basic Mandarin skills, this program focuses on improving reading and writing abilities while deepening their understanding of Chinese culture. In the second week, students will apply their knowledge through hands-on projects, enhancing their language skills and teamwork capabilities.

Important Notes:

Small Class Size: Minimum 6 students.

Two-week camp registration is recommended to ensure a complete study cycle.

Fieldtrip: We require full-day attendance to ensure the best learning experience (An extra fee may be required for half-day registration)

Week 7 is Full-Day Camp Registration Only, and daily drop-in is available by request.

School-Initiated Cancellation: If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances, all payments, including the deposit, will be refunded in full.

A $45 administration fee will be charged for each refund. If refund is recorded as school credit, administration will be waived.

School credit is valid for 2 years and can be used for any programs within Vancouver Mandarin School.

No refund/credit will be granted for occasional absence once the camp starts.
